The following year, the company launched InterCasino, the first casino to be powered by CryptoLogic and to accept cash wagers online. By the late 1990s and into the new millennium, the company was in expansion mode. In 2012, the company was acquired by Amaya Gaming Group in a $35.8 million deal. The headquarters were moved to Toronto and subsidiaries such as WagerLogic were sold. Following this acquisition, the downloadable software was replaced with the more user-friendly Flash version. The downloadable software was not replaced by a stage version of their game program, which would have had its own advantages. Instead, in the Amaya era, shuffling along the Atlantic City boardwalk became an unfortunate reality.
In another transaction three years later, Cryptologic found itself sold. This time, NYX Gaming Group Limited was among the chosen buyers. The components of the deal, which totaled $150 million in Canadian currency, included both Amaya Inc. and the now obsolete Cryptologic.
