With its vibrant, animated aesthetic, fun fonts and bright colors, Big Rock Slots Casino certainly gives the impression of being designed for a youthful, trendy audience, but in truth it could appeal to anyone.
Is this casino really what it says it is, or is it just a facade? Either way, does it have what it takes to be recommended for real money play? Let's review the site in its entirety and then I'll make my decision.

About Big Rock Slots
It's very annoying when you visit a website and can't find an About Us page. You're left with a big question mark in your head about what the site doesn't want you to know. But when it comes down to it, an About Us page is just a very basic say-what-you-want. And some sites skip it altogether. But that doesn't stop me from getting the dirt on this site for my loyal readers. This is what I have uncovered:
Launched in 2015, Big Rock Slots is part of the ingenious Jumpman Gaming network of online casinos. Almost all Jumpman sites promise players a unique gaming experience, and this one seems to deliver. Of course, for all I know, Cozy Games could be making this up, but it can't hurt to give the player the impression that a real live genie is fulfilling their gaming wishes.
An online casino is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. This is a very positive sign. This license is the hardest to get, and when it comes to choosing a site to deposit money, security is the number one consideration for gamblers these days. They place a very high premium on security.
Who Can Play at Big Rock Slots?
If you are curious about the UK gaming license and the level of security it provides, this is it: Big Rock Slots cannot accept players from a long list of countries. If they did, and if you take the license and the level of security it provides seriously, they would risk losing this very prestigious designation.

Software Suppliers
Cozy Games powers most of the casino, along with a few games from NetEnt and iSoftBet. As you'll read in my full review of the game selection, this is a Cozy-heavy, Cozy Games suite offering. It's very slots-heavy, and not surprisingly so. Cozy Games is known for being more of a bingo company, and of course it makes sense to have a slots offering in that case. But Cozy Games is also known for having a very diverse suite of games, which is more of a mixed offering with games for all different types of players.
All games are designed for instant play from any browser on any computer. They require no download, no registration, and no payment of any kind. They're also mobile friendly - they fit the size of most mobile devices and are playable through a mobile browser.
The Good Stuff
Spinathon
Before I get into the promotions section of this review, I want to draw your attention to one thing in particular: the Spinathon. This is a leaderboard promotion that awards $1,000 in cash to the top slots players each week. There are a couple of things I really like about this promotion. For one, it's a great motivation to play consistently for an entire week. And secondly, it pays out 25 places, which is much more than these types of promotions usually pay out. Yes, even though 25th place only gets you $5, it's still better than nothing for an activity you were probably going to do anyway.
The Bad Stuff
Table Games Offering is Weak
Again, we'll get into this later, but I find it incomprehensible why an online casino wouldn't offer a full range of games. It doesn't take any more digital space to include some additional table games, so I'm cautiously optimistic that these guys will get their act together and release some soon.
Game Selection
Slot Machines
With a name like Big Rock Slots, you would think there would be a ton of slots to choose from, right? The casino is definitely slots heavy, but I was surprised (as a slots aficionado) that there didn't seem to be too many of some of the more popular NetEnt games in the catalog. That said, there are over 100 different titles to play, and here are a few that I have played before and enjoyed quite a bit:
- Aloha!Alchemist
- Alice Adventures
- 5 Ninjas
- Aztec Rising
- Autumn Gold
- Astro Magic
- Asteroids
- Barn Ville
- Beach
- Beez Kneez
- Best Things in Life
- Beverly Hills 90201
- Black Widow
- Bloopers
- Bloodshot
- Boom Brothers
- Booster
- Boss the Lotto
- Can Can
- Cash Cuisine
- Cherry Trio
- Excalibur
- Epic Gems
- Eggomatic
- Easter Island
Table Games
Oh dear. What is going on here? I love my table games, so when I arrived at Big Rock Slots and saw what they had to offer, it was like having the wind knocked out of me. Some of the classic games like Craps and Pai Gow Poker were missing, and the few options for Blackjack and Roulette could only keep the place from going dark. I played some of the other types of games to get a feel for what was going on. The games I tried were of decent quality and entertaining. It was exactly what I wanted in a casino.
- Although Roulette originated in Europe, it has become a popular game in American casinos. The American version has a wheel with 38 numbered pockets, while the European wheel has only 37. The extra pocket in the American wheel is the double zero (00). Therefore, the odds of winning in American Roulette are slightly lower than in its European cousin. Blackjack is a popular game of chance played in casinos around the world. It is also known as twenty-one because the objective is to accumulate cards whose total value is as close to twenty-one as possible without going over. If a player exceeds twenty-one, they bust and lose, regardless of any winnings they may have accumulated up to that point in the session
- Casino Hold'em is a table game
- it is not poker. You are not playing against other people. Instead, you play against a dealer who also plays a hand. The goal is to make the best possible five-card hand. Here are some important things to know about the game that make it different from poker:
- * This game has a house edge (in favor of the casino)
- * Players do not bluff
- * Players do not use cards as weapons (i.e., to trick other players)
- * Hands are not played in secret
- they are played in public
Video Poker
Ugh. The Big Rock Slots site has a video poker section that is simply depressing. It's the equivalent of a rundown Nevada gas station that happens to have a few video poker machines - dusty, somewhat sad machines that no one seems to play. The appearance of the video poker section is even more pathetic when you consider how unreasonably easy it would be to make it look nice and present a good selection of games. The games themselves can be very profitable for a casino, and from a gameplay perspective, they might as well be slot machines.
However, if you wish to play video poker at Big Rock Slots, your options are limited to the following: 1. Deuces Wild 2. Jacks or Better 3. Joker Poker 4. Video Poker Double Down Unlisted Video Poker games are also available at this location, but why not start with the more common options?
- Jacks or Better Single Hand
- Deuces Wild Double Up
- Double Up
Specialty Games
The casino offers a few individual games of chance in its front area, consisting mainly of a few Keno and Bingo games, as well as a number of scratchcards. If you play these games, you'll at least be able to find them in the front area. However, if you're looking for more action-packed games, you'll probably have to go to a different part of the casino. Here are the games located in the front area:
- Arctic Insanity;
- Barn Ville;
- The Lotto Boss;
- Cuisine Cash
- Cops and Robbers;
- The Diamond Deal. The Diamond Deal. Diamond Deal;
- Disco Disco;
- Scrolls of the Dragon;
- Feline Sovereign;
- Forty Thieves;
- Fruit Bounty;
- Hercules the Great;
- Hero's Journey;
- Lucky Irish;
- Keno;
- Lucky;
- Massive Affection;
- Mystic Force;
- Ocean Fortune;
- Bingo Rio;
- Royal Charm;
- Spinlotto;
Promotions
Now is a good time to focus on what this casino does to entice you to make a deposit. After all, if they can't get you to open your wallet, they can't pay the bills!
Welcome Bonus
Attracting a player for the first time is the first thing an operator needs to think about when it comes to online casino marketing. The Welcome Bonus is the real icebreaker in the relationship - a good one and you probably have a new player, but if it stinks, the date could end early. Here is what Big Rock Slots offers you in their 3-part welcome offer.
- First deposit: 100% match bonus up to a maximum of $200, plus 20 free spins at Starburst
- second deposit: 100% match bonus and 20 free spins
- third deposit: 100% bonus match plus 20 free spins;
The good news is this part; when you start to investigate the terms and conditions for the welcome bonus, there seem to be some problems lurking there. First of all, it states that the maximum amount that can be received as a bonus is $200. It doesn't say if this is for each deposit or the total. If this is the total amount required, then the second and third deposits are negligible. Just pay the first £200 deposit. I am optimistic that this is just a case of getting lost in translation.
The second point is that the company requires you to play the bonus 65 times before it can be fully cleared. This number is absurdly high compared to many other casinos, and it is unlikely to be cleared on the first try. In fact, if you clear it at all, it is likely that you will make another deposit because you are not going to reel in a big enough catch to make cashing out worth your while.
Trophies
Big Rock Slots has incorporated some of the components that have made social casinos so popular into their offering. They do this by having you complete a series of tasks to earn trophies. When you step it up a notch and accumulate a number of these Trophies (which legitimately prove your skill at the game), you move to the next level and unlock special bonuses like Free Spins and other neat prizes. I like the way these guys have taken a best practice from another industry and folded it into their casino.
Pizza Club
Who loves pizza? Lots of people, and for good reason! Pizza is delicious. It's also a communal food that people share, which makes its free distribution pretty popular, especially among college students. I love the aforementioned aspect of this promotion, but there's undoubtedly a less popular reason to love it. Since most people love pizza for its taste, I'd venture to say that the more common reason to covet this promo is that it gives away free pizza. And here's how to get it:
Win a free pizza every Sunday Our most important people are invited to participate in the weekly Pizza Club promotion. This is your chance to win a fresh pizza every Sunday! Simply play your favorite slots on Sunday and if you're one of our top 5 VIPs, we'll send you an e-voucher for a free pizza on Monday. This means that Mondays could bring a plethora of free freshly baked pizzas and very important cash back in your pocket, or in other words, a lot of extra cash!
Banking
The site has most of the standard payment methods available to its players. Where I want to focus my attention in this review is on the withdrawal limits. If you look at the site, it clearly states that you cannot withdraw more than $5,000 per month. This is very low, especially when you consider that this includes any money won in a progressive jackpot. I am all for limits, especially to protect the casino from scammers, but not allowing a jackpot winner to access his money is silly. I hope Jumpman figures this out and comes up with a better solution.

Comp/VIP Program
Big Rock Slots has what is known as a comp program. However, it is not like a standard comp program where players earn points for playing real money games. At Slots, all they seem to care about is that you make deposits into your account. When you do, you receive something called Kudos at a rate of 1 Kudos for every $1 you deposit.
Kudos indicate your rank in the VIP program. This program has five levels, and you move up to each level by earning more Kudos. You will see that depositing and playing will earn you Kudos, but right below this text is the definition of Kudos as it relates to deposits.
Each level of the VIP program unlocks better rewards. You can see all these in the following chart:
Level | Newbie | Expert | Pro | VIP | Legend |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Weekly Cashback | No | 1% | 3% | 5% | 10% |
Free Spins | 0 | 5 | 10 | 25 | 50 |
Birthday Bonus | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Requirement – Collect Kudos | Up to 100 Kudos | 101 – 1,000 | 1,001 – 2,500 | 2501 – 5,000 | 5,000+ |
This is a clean, efficient program. It lacks many of the bells and whistles (and extravagant prizes) that other VIP programs offer. But if you want pure cash back and nothing but pure cash back, then this is your ideal program.
Customer Service
Big Rock Slots understands that when players have a problem or concern, they want to be able to reach out and get answers right away. That's why the company offers not one, not two, but three ways to contact them, all with pretty much instant outreach and response potential: email, live chat, and WhatsApp (so modern!).
I did not evaluate the customer service for this review, so if anyone has any comments about the quality of service, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Would I Play at Big Rock Slots?
For me, there is a big difference between answering the question "Would I recommend Big Rock Slots" and "Would I play at Big Rock Slots? If I were to play at this casino, I would never choose to play the slots. I would direct all of my funds to the table games section, which unfortunately I have no real experience in reviewing. I do, however, have experience playing the slots. And with that said, I think this casino provides a pretty decent environment for those who like to spin the reels. They have a decent selection of machines that are not all old and/or broken. I never hit any jackpots while I was there, but I did enjoy a few spins on some of the available games. I played for about an hour and returned zero to them on my investment. They, in turn, provided me with zero on either an entertainment or financial return.
